Organization DescriptionThe JACCC has its roots in the early 1970's redevelopment of Little Tokyo, when a citizens advisory committee determined that one of its first priorities was to build a cultural and community center.  Since first opening its doors in 1980, the JACCC has evolved into one of the largest ethnic art and cultural centers in the U.S.   It is now the preeminent presenter of Japanese, Japanese American and Asian American arts in the nation, fulfilling the dream of visionary Issei and Nisei (first and second-generation) Japanese American pioneers to create a permanent center for the community where arts and culture come alive and can flourish for future generations. JACCC’s vision for the future is ambitious and exciting.  As JACCC looks ahead, they seek to 1) create a renewed Center alive with innovative programs and activities for new audiences; 2) establish JACCC as a national portal for Japanese art and culture in the Unities States; 3) create a vibrant new destination venue for Southern California; 4) emerge as a financially sustainable organization for future generations. JACCC is governed by a 21 member Board of Directors, a 19 member Board of Governors and a budget of nearly $2.1 million with approximately 18 staff. Position DescriptionJACCC is now in a transition and will benefit from a transformational leader who is able to provide strong direction and vision for sustainable growth, build and develop strategic relationships, and strengthen and expand the organization’s business and program functions. The President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will be a strategic, dynamic, forward thinking leader able to advance the organization’s impact locally and nationally.  The CEO will be able to use “change leadership” skills to bring about large scale change with the sense of urgency that such direction requires.  QualificationsIdeal candidates will have a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal and external audiences; build broad alliances and collaborative partnerships; lead strategically and implement tactically. In addition, the candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of senior-level management experience, preferably as Executive Director or Chief Executive Officer, significant experience in turnaround, business realignment, change leadership/management experience and strong fiscal management experience.  The ideal candidate will be a visionary and strategic thinker and an innovative problem solver.  Candidates will have demonstrated an ability to create an environment of excellence, an ability to lead the creation of new and innovative programs, a record of successful large gift fundraising and strong communication abilities. San Diego Gas & Electric CompanyIT Communications and Engagement Project ManagerSan Diego (or another location within service territory) Execute communications and organizational change management (OCM) strategies and plans, and refine and modify as needed. Understand client organizations and change management issues and shape organizational solutions to deliver value to the clients. Communicate effectively to engage stakeholders, manage expectations, build credibility and commitment. Work with teams to identify what, how, when, and to whom to communicate key changes resulting from the project. Utilize existing and new communication channels (verbal, written, electronic media) to ensure the effectively reaches the intended audience. Attend meetings and workshops necessary to perform the necessary strategic, planning, and OCM activities to achieve organizational readiness. Provides work direction to expanded team members that may include ITCC and OCM team members,training specialists, instructional designers and consultants. Prepares and implements activities, plans, communications, reports, and gap analyses related to OCM deliverables. Utilizes Stakeholder Analysis & Change Impact Assessment information to support development of strategy and approach to manage the stakeholders through the project timeline and prioritize OCM efforts. Leads knowledge transfer in all OCM domain areas. Develop and support presentations and reports regarding the efforts of the ITCC team, as well as request any additional communications material from directors and executives for the operations overall. Effectively facilitate and comfortable presenting to large group groups. Helps drive adoption/acceptance of change to achieve program benefits and minimize productivity loss. Partners with key departments to improve coordination, buy-in, and support on all ITCC activities. Support the ITCC program work plan, dashboard and reports weekly project status, risks and issues.
